The location of Coyote South was ideal for me. I was roadtripping, so I knew I'd want to be close to a road artery to continue on my trip. It was also a short drive from the accommodation to the centre of Santa Fe itself, so the uber ride didn't sting the wallet. The room was comfortable, clean, and warm - necessary as I was there at the arse-end of winter, so the nights were quite chilly. The bed was definitely a highlight! The breakfast was excellent. Up to this point in my roadtrip from LA to Santa Fe, this was easily the tastiest and most nutritional food offered by the accommodation I stayed at. The burritos were great! The staff were very helpful and kind - they happily helped me with my enquiries and, when I needed to stay an extra night due to bad weather, they were extremely proficient at sorting out another room despite the short notice.

We went to enjoy the Christmas lights and were not disappointed. There was even a visit to the plaza from Santa Claus! My wife enjoyed the shops, and we both enjoyed the local restaurants. Because it was Christmas, be sure to do things early as things tend to close up so everyone can enjoy the holiday with their families. On Christmas, local restaurants around the plaza are limited so expect a wait once you find one open. We ate at the Plaza Cafe and The French Pastry before Christmas day and at the Burrito Company on Christmas. All had a great selection and great food! We had a great time!

Great history of the town.

Great history of the town. Plenty of places to visit if you are an art lover--museums and galleries. Although I am not typically a shopper, there is plenty of shopping and my girlfriends bought a LOT of items. Easily walkable city, certainly from our hotel. Great restaurants and food. We had an amazing time!

I only had a week to see NM from Taos to the north and Silver City to the south. I liked Santa Fe a bit better than Taos. Silver city might be my favorite. My preconceived notion of New Mexico as Wiley Coyote and the road runner was wrong. I hope to be back in the fall

Santa Fe is beautiful and there was so much to see and do.

Santa Fe is beautiful and there was so much to see and do. I enjoyed strolling the Plaza and Railway district, attended an author reading at Travel Bug bookstore, went to the Lensic Performing Arts Center for a Booker T Jones concert, visited the International Folk Art Museum and the Botanical Gardens. As a foodie and a vegan I loved the restaurant choices. Favorites were "Paper Dosa" for South Indian, Jambo Cafe-Afro Caribbean and Kakawa Chocolate House for excellent chocolate elixirs. Outside of Santa Fe i enjoyed visiting Chimayo which was a very moving experience I highly recommend. Six days was not enough!

This was the second time we stayed at Coyote South. We love it there. The rooms are comfy, clean and artistically decorated. The lobby is welcoming, the people are friendly and the artistic touches are very well done. The breakfast is quite possibly my favorite hotel breakfast ever. The breakfast burritos are fabulous. The greek yogurt with add-ins is yummy. The coffee is great, and breakfast on a balcony is the best! The location of the hotel is very convenient in a walkable area. Santa Fe galleries and attractions are a short drive away.

The excitement of checking in to what we thought was an amazing property with a lot to offer... died upon our first encounter with a thoroughly bored and disinterested receptionist in an empty hotel lobby. It was downhill from there. The best part was the comfortable beds (had nice pillow topped mattresses and down pillows). The fireplace was a welcome part of our room and the view from the balcony awesome.

Nothing wrong with the hotel but I wasn't a fan of Santa Fe, wouldn't rush back there. The hotel is located outside the centre and isn't the nicest place to visit. That said the hotel had a comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
