Amusement park area is great for families.
Amusement park area is great for families. Very good restaurants and shops. Something for everyone. Enjoy Clayton's and fireworks on weekends. A plus is Schlitterbahn for the kids and young people. Sand castle days are amazing in October. Nice southern beach getaway.

PADRE ISLAND IS A GREAT PLACE TO VISIT EXCEPT FOR THE HOTEL I PICKED. I PAID OVER $400.00 FOR ONE NIGHT AND IT WAS THE DIRTIEST AND UGLY SMELL IN THAT ROOM ESPECIALLY THE CLOSET. I COULDN'T PUT ANY OF OUR BELONGINGS IN THERE.

I recommend Josephines Kitchen 1 mile away. Went twice. Good stuff.
Also enjoyed Bird Center ... great people there.

South Padre Island was nice and we didn’t go at a time it was crowded so my group was able to enjoy the scenario as well as water, it provided many places to eat great bars and music with quick access to most beaches

The check-in process was easy. My room was clean. The hotel has walking access to the beach. Their is a park right beside the hotel that was very convenient to take my children to.

Nice and clean hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was typically American, with fresh omelette and tacos. Coffee machine in the room, too. Awesome beach, also very clean.
