it had the major conveniences of chain restaurants and local places to dine. i wish the weather was better when i visited, but it was still beautiful on traverse bay. i took a ferry ride on grand traverse bay and it was nice until it began to rain. i did not make it to clinch park because of the weather, but it was pretty to look at as i passed by.

So much to explore! We visited the lighthouses and sleeping bear dunes. Tried to explore the commons shopping area, but couldn't seem to get there. Could have used a better map. Hopefully we can check it out next time. Lots of road construction made it a challenge to navigate an unfamiliar city. Views were stunning along the bay. We hope to visit again perhaps next spring. Parking was definitely an issue. We passed on exploring some shops and restaurants because parking couldn't be found.

Had the weather cooperated, we would have enjoyed our trip...
Had the weather cooperated, we would have enjoyed our trip much more. Our main goal was to bury my husband's ashes with his parents and other family members. However, we looked forward to going to the beach, perhaps taking a boat tour, riding jet skis, and parasailing. We needed more time to enjoy our visit. We had to extend our stay for another two days due to weather conditions in Washington, D.C., and our flights were being cancelled. However, there were no rental cars available. We were stuck in the hotel with only two restaurants within walking distance, the bridge to the beach was closed, and it was too far for me to walk to the next intersection where we could have crossed.
For our next trip to Traverse City, we will plan to take more time off to enjoy it, and we will rent a house for one week. We will also check the weather as best we can. It is beautiful there.

I loved Traverse City!
I loved Traverse City! The people are really friendly and welcoming to tourists. Store staff are nice and approachable, making it easy to browse around. Downtown is charming, with plenty of bars, shops, great restaurants, and lovely spots for dinner and desserts.
The city is close to the wineries, which are a must-visit if you’re in the area. We also enjoyed visiting the lighthouse.
One thing to note: it can be challenging to get a ride on Uber or Lyft late at night, especially around 2 AM when bars and clubs are closing.

Very clean and the staff very friendly. For the price and location I personally think this hotel is good or even better than most expensive hotels...we really enjoyed our stay here! Will most definitely come back!

As a brand new hotel, this is the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The views from the balcony were gorgeous. The size of the room and bathroom were great.
