I lived at a Jersey old shore town for many years and that quiet vibe is quickly disappearing as condos and 'McMansions' take over the entire east coast USA- so things are never quiet and never have that simple sea breeze on wood fence and Aidirondack chair on porch type of feel anymore. Sea Surf lodge has maintained the original shore feel, walking distance to the beach- and I am very happy. Will go back -- it did not feel like a business trip in a hotel, which modern hotels always end up making me feel

Vero Beach is a nice small city with great beaches nearby...
Vero Beach is a nice small city with great beaches nearby and lots to do in a short distance. Sebastian Inlet State Park is not far away and good not only for sightseeing but also for fishing from its piers. Orchid Island just to the east has lots of good restaurants and shops. There is a big Disney resort here that is great. Downtown Vero Beach is quaint and has sort of an Old Florida feel. In the area you will find lots of good restaurants and shopping along FL-60 with a direct connection to I-95, or go west on FL-60 to the Florida Turnpike interchange in historic YeeHaw Junction or continue west to Lake Wales where US-27 intersects and continue through Bartow and Brandon to I-75 or the Selmon Expressway which takes you through downtown Tampa to connect with I-275 in St. Petersburg. A great spot for a short getaway or as a stop on a longer Florida trip.

I WISH THERE WERE MORE INDOOR BEAUTIFUL MALLS TO SHOP IN OTHER THAN INDIAN RIVER. INDIAN RIVER MALL DID NOT FEEL CLEAN FROM THE OUTSIDE, AND IT LOOKED SCARY ON APPROACH, SO WE TURNED AWAY AND WILL NEVER GO BACK.
I WISH WE WERE ABLE TO SEE THE OCEAN, and know if it WAS SAFE TO SWIM IN. THAT YOUR HOTEL HANDED OUT SHARK REPELLENT MAGNETIC RIST BANDS SHARK BANZ FROM AMAZON, THEY WORK IN Australia, and THEY ARE government-approved.

We thought this home was perfect for our visit because it was close to everyone we were visiting. It is in an older neighborhood that was very peaceful and quiet. This is an older Florida home that has been completely renovated. It was nicely decorated and super clean! There is a big table that was perfect for playing games on and sharing meals. We also enjoyed an amazing seafood boil nearby at the Crab Stop- sooo delicious. We will definitely be returning as soon as we can! Sam was very kind and quick to answer any questions we had ensuring we had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much Sam!!

There is a lot to do and see in the area.
There is a lot to do and see in the area. We window shoped, took an air boat tour, visited a couple very nice micro brewerys and ate some delicious food at various different restaurants (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Do your research and we are sure you will find a gem or two to fullfill your stay in Vero Beach.

Meet friends in Vero numerous times a year. It's a midway point. We usually meet for lunch at the Riverside Grill. We've stayed at the Fairfield Inn and Costa d'Este. Both have been great experiences. We visited the Outlet mall this trip and my girlfriend bought some merchandise at Lane Bryant. She saved quite a bit of money.

Vero Beach works hard to maintain their small town quality that is simply bursting at the seams with cultural and artistic ventures, parks, beaches, and many fine restaurants to choose from. I work in Vero Beach four days a week so I am most familiar. Everything in town is within walking distance and as the city stretching out there are small and large malls and many stores to seek out. There is the theater and many outdoor festivals and markets are offered as well as gardens and parks. There appears to be something for everyone!
