Perfect for visiting Yellowstone National Park since the gate was only about a mile away. West Yellowstone, Montana is a super town to visit with many great restaurants to try!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would love to come right back!!!

We loved the 'Ice Cream Happy Hour' every afternoon in the lobby, the s'mores kits for the nightly fire pit were also a big winner with our kids. Location is hard to beat, directly across from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Centre and a short flat walk (maybe 5 minutes) into the main street. Free parking at the door was much appreciated. Breakfast offerings were great, excellent that most were 'grab and go' style so we could get into the Park as quickly as possible.

Yellowstone has such amazing scenery, even if you don't get to see all the animals you expect it's worth it just for the views. We were lucky and saw a lot of animals, the only one we didn't get to see were wolves.

West Yellowstone is 5 minutes from Yellowstone NP west entrance and offers a variety of lodging and restaurants.
The Park scenery was beautiful with opportunity to see wildlife. Prepare for a fair amount of driving since the Park is very large.

I really enjoyed everything about Yellowstone. The west entrance was only a couple miles away from our cabin. There’s a restaurant right across the street. There’s also several restaurants and stores a couple blocks away. We ate breakfast every day at the three Bears restaurant. It was great bc they open at 6am. They have a buffet or you can order from the menu .We got stuck in traffic for a little bit in Yellowstone, bc there was a herd of bison that would not get out of road. I loved it, that is what I wanted to see. There are parts of Yellowstone that are absolutely breathtaking.I was disappointed that I didn’t see any bears.

Great location near the national park.
Great location near the national park. Fun restaurants and bars. Try the Buffalo Bar for great bison burgers! Check out Go Go Expresso on Hwy 20 near the Buffalo Bar. It is a cute drive up coffee shop.

Great little town that caters to tourists and has a down-home feel. Plenty of hometown food and options. Truly is 1 minute to the main gates of Yellowstone making it a great place to enter the park. In my opinion it's the best place as you can choose to do the Upper Loop of the park or Lower loop easily. Trip from Bozeman took almost 2 hours as mostly 2 lane highways. Great walkability to the town hot spots from pretty much anywhere and fishing in local rivers appeared to be plentiful.

The town had some very “western” restaurants, fantastic brisket, and a few reasonable stores. But it was overrun with kitschy t-shirt stores. Kind of low-end. Only a handful of reasonable stores. Nothing in comparison to Jackson Hole where we started our trip.

I really liked the vibe of the hotel with the taxidermy in the lobby. The access to Yellowstone was great! This are was so stunning in the winter and the inclusion of an underground parking lot to keep my car out of the snow was fantastic. Breakfast was great! I didn't get a chance to use the pool or other facilities, but I wanted to have the time to.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and well equipped. Location was central and convenient for all of the restaurants and extremely well situated for the West gate into Yellowstone National Park. We would thoroughly recommend this property when visiting West Yellowstone.

The motel was so close to the west entrance of Yellowstone and in walking distance of restaurants and shops. The room was very large and clean. Even though West Yellowstone is expensive as far as hotels go this had one of the best value we could find online. The beds were comfortable and the place was very quiet.

The proximity to the park. If you’re not staying in the park then this is your best option. We split our 5 day stay between west Yellowstone and Gardiner and glad we did as the park is BIG! Free S’mores on an evening was lovely! The room was big and spacious.
