Our room had a very nice see view, where you can see the while sunset town and the sunset! Breakfast we could order from menu, which was beeing in a restaurant every morning, it was fine and delicious too. We have to mention the extraordinary staff, who made our holiday even more enjoyable. They recommended and organised programs as well! Compliment to the team!

Few tips how to enjoy your stay at Sunset town:
Withdraw some cash as soon as you arrive (ATM is available in Hon Thom Departure Terminal), there is not much choice around where to eat for a reasonable price (it’s like 200-300 VND min for a meal for 1 person without drinks). So better have some cash and enjoy everyday food market in the north part of the town that starts at 18:00 (5 min by walk from the Mellon Oasis).
Don’t go to Starbucks for coffee, go to Lotus Cafe & Home, try Sea salt cream latte! One of the best coffee I’ve ever had!

IsraelThe Moon and Poya Day in December 2025 were nothing short of magical—never in recent memory had the Moon drawn so close to the Earth. And where better to marvel at it than from the Moonlight Hotel, into which we stumbled quite by accident, having pointed at a random spot on the Booking.com map at the very last moment. Yet, as anyone who has lived long enough on the islands of the Indian Ocean knows, there are no true accidents here. The Hotel, small and almost familial (and may it remain so, for the owners’ sake), revealed itself upon arrival as even more enchanting than the photographs we had studied on our way. If at our previous lodging on the western side of the island we counted the days and hours until departure, here—after a week’s stay—we found ourselves reluctant to leave at all. The proprietors may not be professional hoteliers, but in their case this is a blessing rather than a flaw. Every inch of the place is steeped in warmth and hospitality. From one side, the morning view opens onto a charming Italianate street in the style of Portofino; from the other, the Grand Plaza unfolds in a convincing pseudo-European manner. It left no doubt that if paradise exists on this island, it is here. Each evening, the fireworks marking the close of two interactive shows in Sunset Town, observed from the balcony of our snug room, were not mere bursts of light in the sky but a ritual—an affirmation that we were indeed in the right place at the right time. Within walking distance of the hotel lies everything a traveler’s soul might desire: local shops and cafés, the wall of the Colosseum with its hidden cable-car station to Hon Thom Island, a cozy promenade lined with stairways, each different from the next, and the magical illumination of buildings at dusk and night. All of this, combined with the intimate family atmosphere reigning in the hotel, created a rare sincerity of experience: the warmth of arrival, the joy of meeting, and the bittersweet weight of farewell.

The main town is fairly average, not particularly pretty.
The main town is fairly average, not particularly pretty. OK food options, big range but average quality and expensive (tourist / island) prices compared to HCM. Too many noisy doof-doof nightclubs along the beach ruin the chance for a relaxing sleep. Leave it for the backpacker revellers. Many accommodation options seem run down. Plenty of Russians around, this rarely improves the ambiance in my experience.

Phu Quoc completely won me over.
Phu Quoc completely won me over. It’s the perfect blend of calm beaches, local life, and beautiful nature. What I loved most was the slower, more peaceful rhythm - quiet villages, friendly people, and spots where you can still feel the island’s authentic charm. The beaches are stunning, the food is amazing, and getting around by bike or scooter makes exploring easy and fun.
If you’re looking for a place to unwind, enjoy simple moments, and escape the crowds, Phu Quoc is an incredible choice. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

Beautiful resort and beach at Gold Coast in North Coast. But completely different outside perimeter. Just have to shut your eyes to it. A lot of rubbish at side of rd . Local life is very different, to West. Very fresh vegetables and fruit. Beautiful helpful people. As 2 women we felt VERY safe .

Was not going to come, very happy we came from mainland Vietnam, as beautiful. Loved the temperature and sunshine. All nationality of restaurants here and. Coffee shops. Love the salted coffee.
Enjoyed eating at Noras Cafe and Le Place. Small Supermarkets are great for souvenirs and random things,, great prices. Lovely souvenir shop next to Tipsy Tacoo and Henna tattoo places. 👍

South got better island holiday vibes than the north. North feel more cold artificial. Late November 2025. Only stayed north (radisson blue) and south (premier residences khem emerald beach) - did not visit the middle part of the island. Free show at 9pm at Grand World free entry in the north. Free kiss of the bridge complimentary by hotel in the south. Also did the cable car. Cool views. Both shows are ok. Grand world a bit more spectacular but no must. Wouldn’t pay full price for kiss of the bridge show - very bad story telling - robot aliens dog and dugong like for kids, fireworks after, which might be viewable from a location close by, were great though. Ate in resort in north. Great Chinese Fu Lu Kang in the south (traditional coming from Asian roots). Also ate at a seafood place outside beach hotel area 8/10. Used grab to go around no problem

The Town is great.
The Town is great. Upon exiting the airport, we got a very nice Taxi Driver who understood our requests and was also very accommodating. The price of our hotel was cheaper than Grab. We rented scooters to explore the Island and that was an experience on its own due to taking the wrong turn. The night life in the Town is good. Most Restaurants are good and acceptable to cheap prices can be seen on their menu. The weather was also good during our stay. We needed a good place to relax from a busy market experience in Ho Chi Minh. Another highlight was a trip to the Town where we experienced a water show and a fire works show which is free but you need to buy a drink or food from a restaurant if you want front seats. The same taxi Driver took us back to the Airport, which was also a good trip. We could not experience the entire Island but the experience was great.

It's within walking distance to everything you'd need.
Though for a 5 stars there is need for improvement. the bathroom would need a bit more attention from the maintenance staff. Towels and bathrobes are a bit old.

Superb - What previous guests thought, 335 reviews
The villa was very spacious and had a big pool. We liked everything! Breakfast was also good. The beach had a beautiful sunset view. Staff was helpful and polite and spoke good English, unlike the other 5 star hotel we stayed in Phu Quoc, so it was great!!

We liked the spacious room and balcony with hammock and panoramic sea views. We liked the relaxed feel of the resort.
We felt the hotel should run some transport to Duong Dong. The hotel discourages travel away from the resort.
