The breakfast buffet was delicious and worth the money (all you can eat kinda vibes). Last but not least, Lungi @ reception was great and super welcoming/helpful.

No place in South Africa can beat Durban, it has the most awesome beaches, the weather is enjoyable whether it is overcast, raining or when the sun is full out in al its glory. There are many things to do in Durban and it is cost effective whether you are on a budget or saved up - you will enjoy to the max. The food places are plentiful and have a variety. I love coming to Durban and staying on the golden mile because that is where the action and atmosphere is most lively.

Durban is a massive city and location matters when visiting. If you stay north of the city you are in good hands as well as some of the neighbourhoods outside the city centre. The city has tons of possibilities, amazing attractions and great weather with very welcoming locals. I would not bother with the CBD of Durban, it has gone a bit dodgy over many years of mismanagement of the ruling party. In saying that, we always return to Durbs, either to stay or as a starting point to see some amazing attractions like the Drakensberg, the tropical north or stunning game reserves, it offers plenty for such a small province.

Durban is a friendly cosmopolitan city. The weather is good and there are many things to do from tourism to leisure. While being a large city, it doesn't have that feel. It's laid back and doesn't feel rushed.

We loved the Umhlanga Arch precinct itself, everything is modern and vibrant. The beachfront promenade, Umhlanga Lighthouse, and Gateway Theatre of Shopping were definite highlights for us.
Most attractions are within a few minutes’ drive. There’s secure parking at the apartment, Uber made it convenient to get anywhere.

Great beaches, you can enjoy the sun and the sea all year round.
Ushaka aquarium and dolphinarium is world class. Minitown is good to visit for children.
Go shopping at Musgrave Centre, still a really great place to shop!
The natural history museum (science, with stuffed animals, is amazing and should be visited by all, behind the city hall, free entry), easy to park behind the Royal Hotel there, the football stadium is great, Mitchell Park, and the restaurants around the Florida Road area are well worth a visit. Lets face it, you can't get better food than in South Africa. Enjoy!

We always enjoy the beautiful sea when visiting Durban, along with the wide variety of activities along the beachfront, such as the dolphin and seal shows. A visit to uShaka Marine World is always a highlight. Exploring the Ballito and Umhlanga areas is equally pleasant, offering charming sights and relaxing experiences. Gateway Mall is more than just a shopping destination; we especially enjoyed the go-karting there. One of the most memorable attractions was Crocodile Creek, home to over 500 crocodiles. Overall, Durban’s stunning landscapes and vibrant activities make every visit truly special.

My daughter was the person who stayed there and she loved her stay. She was highly impressed with everything about her final room she was placed in. The bed was comfortable, as were the chairs. There was a full mini-kitchen with coffee etc supplied. The view was amazing, could not be beaten! The bathroom was very clean and adequate. There was a lot of cupboard storage space. Everything in the hotel was extremely clean!! Thank you management and staff of Parade Hotel, Durban, KZN, South Africa!

My last trip to durban south africa regarding business was 2 months long. And I stayed at this hotel for 2 months. Staff and every person working in this hotel was extremely helpful and made me feel like home away from home. Location wise it's perfect. Food was exceptional. So whenever I visit south africa every year , be it for 7 days or a month , I stay at this hotel only.

The bed was very very comfortable didn't want to wake up, loved the secured,free undercover parking in the hotel that's the nice part about being in Umhlanga instead of Durban you don't pay for parking. Ample towels in the bathroom. It's in Umhlanga so I had the not too bad view of the ocean, it's a quiet area which is great and safe.

The hotel is situated in the best view in Durban. The UShaka Marine is just around the corner. There are activities from there and it is not too far to reach the CBD. Everything was perfect and I wish I had stayed longer than I thought.
