A lovely spot in the country, great location for exploring Kilkenny and surrounds. A well stocked fridge when we arrived was appreciated. Friendly dogs and family.

Quirky house that was clearly loved. Very clean. Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

I liked this place very much. 20 minutes walking from the center of Kilkenny, far enough from the noise of the city, in a real peaceful area and that was exactly what I was looking for: a relaxing holiday. Walking to the center and step by step reaching it, was an exiting sensation: medieval buildings, cathedrals, the castel… all fabulous! The house was fully equipped, warm and clean. I only tried the big bed and that was very comfortable. In the two big supermarkets, at 10 minutes walking, I found all I needed to eat. Moreover in Kilkenny there are a lot of shops for everything, restaurants, bars and pubs.
