IrelandI booked Hemma Grove last minute and just for one night but it has left such a lasting impression. The farmhouse has been restored with extraordinary care and attention—every detail feels intentional, from the decor to the beautifully preserved character of the original building.
Dee kindly accommodated our very late check-in on Friday night, which we were so grateful for. We had to leave early the next morning, but in that short time we were struck by how comfortable and calming the space is. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the large walk-in shower added a real sense of luxury.
What stood out most was how the home honours those who lived there before—through carefully restored doors, artefacts, and design choices that feel respectful and considered.
We were genuinely struck by the work that Dee and Billy have poured into this place. Everything has been thought of, and it shows.
This is a place of great serenity, surrounded by trees and wildlife located beside Dee and Billy’s home. A very special place—one that needs to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Thanks so much.

IrelandQuirky house that was clearly loved. Very clean. Mary the host was lovely and so helpful. Very generously left us chocolates, wine and a lovely cake. There were tea bags and a bag of coffee beans! Mary clearly tries to make people’s stays very comfortable. There’s a great big garden and gazebo area, just made for parties. There are 3 properties beside each other. The folly, another large house suitable for a large party and the host’s own house. Mary was really lovely and we didn’t feel that it mattered that she lived so close by. It’s a bit out of town on a small country road. We walked to the Hoban hotel, about 10 minutes. Would be very happy to return there again.

United KingdomThe communication with Barbara was excellent from the start, the little touches of milk and fresh bread on arrival as I was late to check in.
Keys left in a lock box ideal for late comers.
The Farm House is clean, warm and comfortable with a fully loaded kitchen leaving you wanting for nothing. Fresh towels on the bed. Jally Farm leaves you wanting for nothing.
I can't comment on the area as we were over for work, Callan is located a few miles up the road where you can find supermarkets, pubs takeaways etc.

We stayed in the Stone Cottage which was very comfortable and had a well stocked fridge with bread, milk and wine etc. Our dog loved the open space and made friends with the.resident dogs. The hot tub and the bar where you can pull your own pint of Guinness was an added bonus.
