Located near to the town. Just a short drive away from town. Very nice atmosphere and scenic views. Host are helpful to come and assist us when our 4WD could not drive in to the driveway due to the snow. We were allowed to park our SUV on the road. Very nice, comfortable place. We loved the place so much.

I had thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Cairns Alpine Resort. Lodge is clean and neat, furnishings are beautifully decorated and kitchen is well equipped. Although I checked in late, arrangement is well arranged. Thank you for making my stay at Lake Tekapo a very memorable one.

The hotel is in a great location. It takes about 3 minutes to drive to the lake, or you can walk there. The surrounding environment is quiet and clean. It feels very safe. There are three bedrooms in total, all with separate bathrooms, which is very suitable for a large number of friends or families. You can cook by yourself. If you like photography, you can start shooting the stars in the yard at the door at night. If you have any questions, contact the staff and the feedback is also very timely. It is worth recommending.

    It was a unique and very practical accommodation Little cottage was perfect. 2 great bedrooms with interconnecting bathroom. Fireplace was pre prepared and heated all house Hot tub was a bonus and stars at night Farm animals were also a bonus We were greeted with fresh baked loaf of bread!

    MAGNIFICENT view from Barbara Hay Lodge but note that this lodge has no hot tub (we knew this). The view was definitely worth it. Animal feeding included - absolutely awesome. Kitchen facilities modern + effective. Washing liquid, dishwasher tabs + washing powder all provided. Fireplace lovely. Walking distance to shops, restaurant, the lake and Good Shepherd Church. I’ve rink nearby. Can stay a week.

    Fantastic cottage stay in Te Anau. Nice and charming interiors with a rustic look. Wooden interiors with all the facilities and amenities you need including a fully functional fireplace furnace! The hosts were very helpful and responsive even from afar to answer any queries.

    A lovely cottage with everything provided. The fireplace and the outdoor bath was a real bonus and made this a standout amongst the many accommodation options available. Good communications and easy access and another bonus of a delicious loaf of what looked (and tasted like) like homemade bread. Good job!

    The two bedroom cabin/lodge we stayed in was beautifully furnished, had a great layout and a good use of space plus we loved the interior styling. It had views over the lake, a cosy wood burner and was walking distance to town but felt more rural. The beds were very comfortable and everything we loved. The kitchen was well equipped. We really appreciated the tasty loaf of bread provided and the little Whittakers chocolates which was a lovely touch.

    Super clean and cozy lodge with two bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. They have a shower, an indoor bathtub and even an outside private hot tub for stargazing at night. We tried the fire place which is quite straightforward and this gives a nice vibe of a cabin in the Forrest. They do have electric inverter so the fireplace is just a nice extra. Location wise , perfect! You can walk to the center of the town and only a Little over 1 km drive to the famous church of the good shepherd.
