Situated on the banks of River Baru, Hotel Villas Río Mar is also within a walking distance of 900 metres from the Village of Dominical. Hidden treasure. Unfortunately we chould spent just 1 night. Excelent food for dinner and amazing choice for breakfast.

Posizionato a Fortuna, a 4,6 km da Cascata La Fortuna, Cabañas del Rio mette a disposizione una piscina all'aperto, un parcheggio privato gratuito e un giardino. We loved our stay! For starters, the property has a decent size rainforest in their "backyard". We took advantage of that and saw a variety of birds including toucans, howler monkeys, various coloured frogs, a wide variety of plants and flowers. They also host a guided tour for free and we took full advantage of that. In addition, the staff always went out of the way to make us comfortable. The place is located about 20-30 mins from the various La Fortuna attractions, so we were able to cover a few of these every day. The wifi was of good quality. The hot water in the shower was good. Rooms are spacious and comes with a kitchen. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes, cutlery etc. There was coffee, sugar, oil and salt available as a complement. There was also parking available for our car.

Posizionato a Fortuna, a 10 km da Cascata La Fortuna, Arenal Manoa Resort & Hot Springs mette a disposizione un giardino, un parcheggio privato gratuito, una terrazza e un ristorante. The hotel was a "horizontal" complex in that all rooms were at ground level with just two rooms per building and the buildings are scattered throughout the property. As the rooms were on ground floor the view was limited, I guess because of privacy concerns by just stepping out the the door the the Arenal volcano is right in front of you, an amazing view! The breakfast was a well stocked buffet and the a la carte restaurant was also very good. For a less formal atmosphere we tried the excellent Sushi bar at the pool that is open til 10pm. (There is also a pizza place but we didn't try them). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Tours are available at the hotel and we took one to the volcano and another to jungle tour with suspension bridges. Both were good but we preferred the jungle tour. The thermal water hot pool was a great place to relax after hiking and sightseeing. If you have a car and feel a little adventurous the "Rio Celeste" in the Tenorio Volcano National Park is worth the trip. Its about 90mins from the hotel but be aware that the walking trail in the park is about 5 to 6 Km to take in all the viewing points and places can be uneven. To get to the waterfall there are perhaps 200 steps down (and then back up again!)

This tropical hotel is located next to Costa Rica's Arenal Volcano, 6 km from La Fortuna. It offers a natural hot spring, outdoor adventure activities, a luxurious spa and scenic volcano views. Landscaping was excellent, pools are nicely done and breakfast was very good.

Ubicato a Uvita, a 13 km da Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Ballena Rey Hotel propone una piscina all'aperto, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un giardino e una sala comune. Struttura a due passi da localini e supermarket, parco nazionale, ma in zona tranquilla e riservata. Contesto moderno e nuovo. Bellissime aiuole, fiori, grande piscina. Appartamento moderno e dotato di tutti i comfort, con patio di fronte, aria condizionata nuova ed efficiente. Pulizia ottima. Personale gentilissimo. Essendo tutte vegane a colazione ci hanno preparato 3 pancakes giganti a testa, frutta a volontá, platano fritto, pane e marmellate, riso e fagioli. Per gli altri ospiti c’erano anche uova, bacon, ecc. Consigliatissimo!

Struttura eccellente. Pulita, luminosità, moderna e dotata di ogni comodità. Bella gente, silenziosa pur avendo una posizione super centrale! Se per voi non avere una cucina non è un grosso problema in vacanza, non esitate a soggiornare qui per tutto il tempo. Eccellente rapporto qualità/prezzo
