Featuring a business centre, an outdoor pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness centre with city views, Holiday Inn Guayaquil Airport offers free Wi-Fi and buffet breakfast in Guayaquil. We needed to stay overnight between flights and I was very nervous given the city's reputation. The hotel is by far your safest option for short term stays, it is 2-300 meters from the terminal, you can easily walk it if you don't have luggage, the hotel entrance is just by the security checkpoint, so all safe. We took the complimentary hotel shuttle, had someone waiting for us in the terminal. They have a dedicated entrance/exit in the airport parking so the transfer takes 2 minutes. Swimming pool was nice and you have a nice view of planes coming in to land. Room was clean and with all amenities you would expect.

The private rooms are beautiful, spacious with very comfortable beds and excellent showers. For the price it's a complete bargain. Included breakfast is substantial with a four different menu options to choose from (even if it wasn't included it would be worth the ~$5 to buy it).

Casa Las Peñas Siglo XXI B&B asub Guayaquilis, 2 km kaugusel Püha Francise kirikust. Kohapeal on välibassein, eraparkla, baar ja ühine puhkeruum. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, breakfast was excellent. Location is great, we felt very safe walking by the water and we're very close to lots of restaurants and bars.

Only a 2-minute walk from Montañita downtown, Hotel Kundalini offers large green areas and is located right in front of the sea shore. Super relaxing place. Comfortable rooms with daily cleaning, well-maintained private beach area, very good restaurant on site, nice activities. You wouldn't even have to set foot outside of the resort to have amazing holidays here, however -the town is only a short 10 minutes walk.
