Everyone was so welcoming when we arrived. They allowed us a late check out as our flight home was in the evening. All the staff we encountered were fab, especially the manager Ali and Clement, Michael & Bismark. The rooms were clean and well stocked with supplies. Breakfast was a feast, and dinner at the restaurant was delicious and well priced. The hotel definitely holds it own against others, including 5 stars in the area. I would highly recommend checking it out.

Everything is good except that the connecting road from the main one to the hotel is very bad It is a short distance so the ower can easily do that.

Very pretty property, perfect to decompose after touring or working. Food was delicious, staff are lovely. Rooms are comfortable and clean. All that you want in a space away from home.

The location is a bit outside Elmina town, but close enough to walk. It also provides a panoramic view of town and castle. The a-la-carte breakfast menu was a pleasant surprise, and food was overall good and tasty. It's a new place which is beautifully furnished and decorated. Our room had a small balcony, which was perfect to watch the sunrise.

The room was clean and the place looked neat and simple. It actually exceeded my expectations. All the needed amenities were there and the receptionist was professional.

Afro Beach eco Resort Butre er staðsett í Butre, 2,2 km frá Busua-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, einkastrandsvæði og verönd. The location was beautiful - long stretch of clean, uncrowded beach only steps away from our room. It was very peaceful and scenic. There is a large lagoon and fishing village to the west and huge rock outcropping and fishing village to the east. The food was outstanding. The staff was great.

I stayed here for almost a month and tried AirBnB and other hotels in Tamale before. Compared to all other options, this is by far the best value you can get. A small room is 250 GHS and a big room 300 GHS. The location is extremely clean, the rooms are bright with a lot of sunlight, the managing receptionist is very courteous and professional, and the hotel is right in the center of Tamale. Due to the double double glazed windows (IRRC), the noise from the main street was reduced considerably. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. Notably, there were no issues with electricity. At the AirBnB around Tuunayili Last Stop where I stayed for 2 months previously (same price), blackouts were a huge issue - about 3 times a week, for several hours. The record was 18 hours no electricity. At Gidi Lodge, the personnel is using backup generators. All hotels and AirBnBs in that price range won't use backup generators to save fuel. For a backup generator, you usually have to pay at least 50€ or more per night. The internet at the Gidi Lodge was fine, and the water was also running (which is not to be taken for granted). Overall, this is an exceptionally well-run hotel. After moving to the next town, I really miss Gidi Lodge. Anyone visiting Tamale should definitely book this place.

The hotel is excellent. The best I've stayed during my 2 week stay in Ghana. The room was huge, with a very comfortable desk space to work from he room if needed. Facilities where top notch. The common area, bar and outdoor plus pool is just amazing to hang around during the day. THe staff were extremely helpful, with a special mention to the the owner (American guy) always ensured that we are doing well and that everything is OK, and also the Bar attendee Daniel who is such a nice person and always ensured to keep us comfortable (plus he's a super nice guy to talk to)
