The hotel has a new manager who clearly really cares about his employees/customers. From what I've seen, this is the best hotel you can find in Guinea-Bissau. The manager and staff organized a tour guide that also works at the hotel. Alfa spoke perfect English and also went above and beyond and helped me out to reach my next destination! (Thanks Alfa!)

The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly. They gave us tips on what to visit and helped organise a boat to Rubane island for the day and nothing is too much for them. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. The accommodation has solar panels which means electricity during the day (and you won't find this in many other places) and in the evening the public electricity kicks in until 1h30. Price/value is amazing and an omelette (with veggies) is included. Very hard to beat this price. It's located near the port in a quieter area. I really appreciated this as several parties were going on until the early hours. I would definitely stay here again!
