Not only was the breakfast the best food we had in Iceland with a great variety of fresh dishes, the location of the hotel is unique (our room had a view to the lush green mountains that are incredibly scenic), the staff was extremely kind and attentive (with a special shout out to the Portuguese gentleman) and facilities makes you stay for a longer period of time (i.e., Spa, thermal baths, ice showers and relaxation rooms overlooking the glaciers and giving an great sense of calmness and relaxation). L'Hotel 1001 Nott, inaugurat el juny del 2018, ofereix un allotjament modern a 5 km d'Egilsstadir. L'hotel disposa de banyeres d'hidromassatge exteriors amb vistes al llac Lagarfljót. Amazing! By far the best place around Egilstadir!

The hotel is very well equipped, with all sort of comfort at a very high level. Modern equipment in a design traditionally rooted, easy to use. Very clean, with a particular attention to details. Environmental policy is one of the priorities, well-done!! Really friendly and helpful personnel. The village and the harbor are pearls. Next to a charger for electric cars, few steps to the famous herring museum, the church and the bakery. Highly recommended hotel.

Situated in Gardur, Lighthouse-Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a sun terrace and sea views. All units feature air conditioning and a satellite flat-screen TV. This place was amazing. The location was ideal — especially as I had been to Iceland before and I was only doing an overnight stay (and didn’t need to drive into Reykjavik.) The facilities and breakfast were great. The location allowed me to have a short stroll to the lighthouse and get some great aurora photos!

Nice large place. The room was upgraded and was really of a good size. One can have food at Geysir visitor centre

Set 27 km from Hella and 12 km from Laugaland, Landhotel features a garden, bar and free WiFi. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Beautiful, clean room. Every staff member we interacted with were wonderful, especially Adele at the front desk and Tomas in the restaurant. This hotel is top notch and we decided to book another stay here towards the end of our trip because we loved it so much! The dinner was fabulous! We enjoyed every part of it from the homemade bread to the delicious main courses to the incredible desserts!!
