Inaugurato nel giugno 2018, l'Hotel 1001 Nott offre sistemazioni moderne a 5 km da Egilsstadir. L'hotel dispone di vasche idromassaggio all'aperto con vista sul Lago Lagarfljót. The property was so nice. A great location! I wish we could’ve stayed 2 days there. I think there are lots of interesting hikes thru forests. We only had time to see a nearby waterfall. We saw northern light from the outdoor hot tubs.

Room was big, super clean and comfy. Breakfast was great! View from the hotel (front side) is beautiful. This location is great for exploring the north part of Iceland, around Myvatn lake and part of east part of the island.

The staff was really kind and helpful. The receptionist who was there upon our arrival, shows us on the map what we can do because the weather conditions wasn’t good for the things that we have planed to do. The food in the restaurant was good and also the breakfast has many options to choose. The bed was comfortable and we have a huge window right across in order to see the sky. Till now it was the best hotel in Iceland!

Breakfast and dinner were for sure some of the best we had in Iceland. Hot tubs facing the glacier are amazing, while also the floor to ceiling windows in the rooms provide for some very nice view.

La serra per rilassarsi e guardare le stelle o l'aurora boreale era meravigliosa e la sauna e le piscine calde all'esterno sono state un toccasana in una gelida serata invernale ( devi solo trovare il coraggio di uscire in costume con -12 gradi :-) ) Nella sala pranzo sono sempre disponibile bevande calde e fredde e qualche dolcetto e alla sera puoi portarti da mangiare lì e usare i tavoli e le bevande. Personale accogliente ! Siamo stati talmente bene che abbiamo soggiornato lì un'altra notte alla fine del viaggio ! Grazie !

The staff was very helpful and warm. There is minimal light pollution in the area around the hotel, increasing the chances of viewing the Northern Lights. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and gave off a Finnish log cabin vibes. There is ample parking space. Breakfast was also good, with decent vegetarian/vegan options. The room did get very warm at night, and we lowered the thermostat/opened the windows for some relief.
