The staff was really kind and helpful. The receptionist who was there upon our arrival, shows us on the map what we can do because the weather conditions wasn’t good for the things that we have planed to do. The food in the restaurant was good and also the breakfast has many options to choose. The bed was comfortable and we have a huge window right across in order to see the sky. Till now it was the best hotel in Iceland!

Set in Akureyri, 39 km from Godafoss Waterfall, Hotel Halond offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Everything was so much better than expected! We had some issues with getting into the room, reservation etc, and everything was solved so smooth, they answered instantly. The room had fantastic facilities, even en-suite fridge, great bathroom, nice terrace. SUPER quiet. Hottubs were a big plus! Also, the common kitchen... just overall 10/10.

The location right next to the Geysir made this Hotel perfect for a stay during our 3 day stopover in Iceland. However, once on site - the hotel exceeded our expectations! The spacious architecture of the building is very impressive with a very stylish nordic interior design. The room was nice and had a very comfortable bed. Dinner and breakfast were excellent - do not forget to try the Geysir Bread! The staff were outstanding - very friendly and helpful. A big tanks to Georgiana who helped me get back my scarf that I forgot in the room. Wished we could have stayed there longer.

Opened in June 2018, Hotel 1001 Nott offers modern accommodation 5 km from Egilsstadir. The hotel features outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Lagarfljót. There is also an on-site bar. really beautiful view, comfortable stay and nice attention to detail. The breakfast was one of the best I had in Iceland ( croissants and home made jam were delicious)
