This is a country full of blessings. I stayed at Magnificent Hotel for the last 3 nights. Location is perfect. Only 10-15 minutes to Durbar Square. Service is beyond words . Mr Avishek said Welcome to our hotel , pleased enjoy our service and just relax . We are always here if you need help All the staff are polite and nice rooms are clean and there is no shower problem at all Food is highly recommended at the restaurant for lunch and dinner I thank Nepal and all the people giving me hands everywhere,anytime Namaste

The charming Karma Hotel Nepal offers homely accommodation with en suite bathrooms in Kathmandu. a very friendly and welcoming hotel in an excellent location in the heart of thames, quite enough though. There was a common veranda too. Big bathroom, free shampoo and shower gel. Breakfast was tasty and coffee very good. Value for money. Free pick up for international flights was appreciated by us. I have to say the best for staff. Helpful, smiling all time. We were able to leave a part of our luggage for ten days and collect it before our final departure. In addition buses for chitwan leave 8 minutes on foot from hotel, very convenient for us. We visited durbar Square by ourselves and we rent a taxi with driver at 70 dollars by santos for a day trip to monkey temple ( excellent), Patan (very good), baktrapur ( excellent), Buda temple ( excellent), passi...hindu temple (cremation was a small shock for us).

Genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met. The hotel was very clean and would be ideal for solo travellers or couples (possibly families too). It's a 1 minute walk away from Thamel which is the main "tourist" area of the city.. but a 5 minute walk in the opposite direction you will get some amazing small local spots with the best "momo" (the most popular local/national food. Essentially dumplings with different fillings) but anyway..the location is ideal. its close to everything but still in a calm and quiet area. I had the most amazing chats every day with Abhi, the hotel supervisor/manager. An absolute gentleman who would go over and beyond in every way for a guest. But all the staff were the same. I only ate breakfast in the hotel and usually stuck to the same (American Style). But it was always very good. The guys would gladly give you some extra food etc if you wanted. I didn't eat other food from the restaurant as I was eating out and about but I'm sure it is all great. They were also great in regards to laundry services. I would definitely recommend this hotel for any backpackers, solo travellers or couples.

We had a great stay here (so much that we've stayed again after our trek!). The smaller rooms are quite small for 2 people, so we opted for the bigger room the second time around (this review is the first time). The best thing about this hotel is the staff. I can't thank them enough!! They've made us feel so at home and are always ready to help. The complimentary breakfast has been great too. When we were leaving early in the morning for our hike, they let us have breakfast even earlier than they usually serve it. The location is wonderful, centrally located but just away from the main roads so generally much quieter. We also availed of the complimentary airport transfer which was super helpful on arriving to Kathmandu.
