I really loved my stay on the island! I stayed for 3 days and it was nice and relaxing. Amazingly enough, I was the only guest the entire time I was there! The owners were wonderful and they went out of their way to make me feel welcome and treated me like family. Big shout out to my main man Jean, the manager! He went above and beyond to make sure I had a memorable stay and is a great friend! The food, service and off island experiences were fantastic (Jean is an excellent tour guide and has tons of incredible side trips for you!) The island itself is beautiful and full of life. If you want to have a unique experience in nature, yet enjoy the luxury and comfort of home, then this is the perfect place for you! For me this was the experience of a lifetime! Book yourself a few days at very least, you won’t regret it!

Nastanitev Karisimbi Cave Resort je v mestu Ruhengeri, 45 km od znamenitosti Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, in nudi vrt, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, skupni prostor za druženje ter teraso. I loved that it was a women owned eco resort. No plastic water bottles. The staff was wonderful. Helped me beyond belief getting the tour I really wanted with a great guide. Good food and even an espresso machine!!!

We’re so happy we chose Akagera Ihema Lodges for our stay near the park. The view over the lake is simply unbeatable, and the setup of the cottage—with its walk-in shower and peaceful surroundings—made it the perfect place to relax. A big thank you to the amazing staff, who took such great care of us. They prepared breakfast boxes early in the morning for our game drives and served delicious meals each evening. Their kindness and attention to detail really made our stay special. Although we spent three nights here, we feel like we barely scratched the surface of how beautiful and peaceful this place is. We’d love to come back and enjoy it even more.

Homely cottage feeling , outside window botanical garden flowers in bloom. The staff is welcoming and attentive . Felt safe and protected Had good night sleep The room is cleaned daily. Nice breakfast served in your room if needed On leaving early morning, breakfast was prepared for me to take on my forward journey .

We stayed here for 4 nights on 3 different dates during our travels in Rwanda. The property was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. The rooms were much nicer than what shows in the pictures. Justine and Isabel were fabulous and took great care of us. They went out of their way to help us with everything that we needed.

First off, this hotel is a hidden gem. Our tour company recommended their own suggestions and we were not pleased with them so we did our own research and I found this place. Wow! First off, it’s beautifully located right on Lake Kivu and is so relaxed and feels very safe with their own security. The room is beautiful, spacious, and has a great bathroom and patio. Moreover, the staff was outstanding and so attentive and communicative. And the food was outstanding on property. Breakfast is included so make sure to enjoy it. We also loved our dinner.

Nastanitev Umurobyi Lodge je v mestu Kibuye, 40 km od znamenitosti Mukura Forest Reserve, in nudi zunanji bazen, brezplačno zasebno parkirišče, vrt ter skupni prostor za druženje. I’ve stayed at many places in Rwanda but this by far is the best. It’s obviously on the pricey side but it was worth every cent. The food was amazing, the views from every angle were incredible and the staff really made you feel welcomed and well taken care of. I will definitely coming back.
