There could not have been a better place than this. The hosts are amazing people, breakfast is great, view from the room is so incredible that it was simply difficult to leave the room, location at perfect walking distance from the station, nice food places within walking distance, spotless clean, cozy, homely, spacious, perfect for couples or solo travellers if you want to get away from a busy city.

La Pension Bergfried si trova a Hallstatt, a 150 metri dalla riva del Lago di Hallstatt. La struttura offre camere arredate in modo funzionale, in alcuni casi dotate di balcone. L’accoglienza in reception è stata super. Letto comodo e riscaldamento perfettamente funzionante. La camera era molto bella e il bagno era dotato di phon oltre che di asciugamani stupendi. Ho apprezzato la mancanza del kit di cortesia in bagno e la presenza del dispenser poiché è una scelta ecologicamente corretta.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. We loved the room and the location. The beds were very comfy, and there were no disturbances from other rooms. The room was clean and tidy, and the bathroom was also spotless. We had a great view overlooking the lake, which was amazing. Check-in was also perfect. We had a hassle-free stay.

My experience with this hotel is just amazing. The hotel is located on the heart of Hallstatt with a spectacular view on the lake!! The restaurant service is just waaww!! Absolutely fabulous hotel like from fairytales. Very close to bus and train station. Owners taking care of every detail, so that quests can feel pleasant and comfortable like at home. Large spotless room with nice design, great personalised breakfast prepared taking into account every guest preferences. Hotel has sauna, spa area and the pool. Thank you for making me feel like at home. I will definitely return to this place.
