Most affordable option in the city turned out to be high class luxury hotel. Comfort, cleanness, service and location, all 10/10

Hotel Waldhaus am See se nachází na břehu jezera St. Moritzersee a má úchvatný výhled na okolní hory a na údolí Engadin. A hotel where it was possible to talk to a human being if there was a problem, or information was needed - how refreshing against many of the other places I stayed where everything was done remotely. Reception was welcoming and helpful and when the desk lamp in the room failed a call to reception produced a new lamp in minutes. Pleasant (though quite small) room with all the facilities needed and a superb view over the lake from the window. Outstandingly good breakfast (included in the rate).

We used the hotel just for a one night stay (unfortunately!). The hotel has a classic feel to it and feels like one is in another century. Because of Booking we got an upgrade which gave us a fabulous room.

Hotel Schweizerhof Pontresina se nachází v centru městečka Pontresina, hned vedle lyžařského vleku Alp Languard. This is a spacious hotel - our rooms were large, lots of space to unpack. Wonderful views of the valleys and mountains in Upper Engadine. The restaurant also very spacious. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel gives transportation passes after a 2-day stay. We went to Diavolezza, numerous times to Muotta Muragl. All the busses leave from the Post Office, a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is on the main street, with all the restaurants within easy walking distance. Worth going to Diavolezza lift to look at all the 4000 m. peaks across the great glaciers. Pontresina is a quiet town, there were no package holiday tourists.
