La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the centre of the medieval town of Gruyère, 400 metres from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum. We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel during the off-season. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of old Gruyères, with a beautiful view of the square, the fortress, and a glimpse of the Pre-Alps. We loved the authentic wooden interior, the cozy small salon with a fireplace, and the piano, which made for a relaxing evening. The hotel was peaceful, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was traditional and delicious, and breakfast was equally enjoyable. The surrounding area is perfect for scenic walks, making it an ideal destination for both short getaways and longer stays. Conveniently close to Geneva, it’s a great spot to experience the heart of Switzerland.
