This boutique hotel is ideally located in a quiet area of Locarno. The breakfast buffet has an excellent variety of regional meats, eggs, fruits, and breads. It’s only a short walk to the train station. They also offered the Ticino Card, which made access to public transportation easy! The hotel is family run. Nikoli was very helpful with information about the area. Would definitely stay here again!

Once a patrician residence built in the 18th century, the Hotel Tamaro can be found right on the banks of Lake Maggiore in the centre of Ascona. Charming little hotel with nice staff and an amazing rooftop terrace

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. The property was gorgeous! The interior is all newly refurbished and the hotel areas are 5* quality. We were even given a voucher for travel within the town

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. The hotel is absolutely exeptional. Clean, very well managed and up to date on furnishing. The swimming pool is as clean as can be. The pool staff keeps you well aware on upcoming happy hour at the bar :) The hotel garden is wonderful. Palm trees everywhere, quiet park tables for a private piknik. The restaurant behind the hotel is absolutelly great. Plenty of parking. Very short walk to the train station where you can also take the funiculore down to the town. Only good things to say about the breakfast.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The location is stunning. Staff were very courteous and helpful and the room was spotless and comfortable.
