Situated close to the ski lifts in Zermatt, Alpen Resort & Spa features a restaurant, and spacious rooms with cable TV. The entire property was amazing! We had a 4th floor suite with a balcony with an incredible view of The Matterhorn. The beds were extremely comfortable. The spa was awesome and included in the rate. The mini bar was nice as was the complimentary water provided. The hotel also provided robes, slippers and a spa bag for your convenience and comfort while enjoying the spa facilities. The staff were great and very friendly. We loved the included breakfast which was a fantastic selection. The smokers lounge was a nice touch and they have a small but great selection of cigars.

In particular the front garden with its beautiful flowers is so spectacular and attractive that I noted almost all passers-by had stopped to take photos. The hotel operator couple is so nice and helpful. They are always willing to advice you on the most appropriate itinerary and route for hiking and going up to Matterhorn/Gorergon.

The small Hotel Sarazena is located next to the train station in Zermatt and features a sauna. Rooms have an en-suite bathroom, cable TV and free WiFi internet access. Everything! The location is great, the staff are very nice, the room is big and clean. Definitely will stay here again if I come here again.
