Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto is a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle and a 5-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. It offers modern accommodation with a cafe, massage services and free internet. The staffs are extraordinary helpful. We were involved in an accident where another vehicle hit our car while parking in a parking lot. We received a notice left on the windscreen, instructing us to go to the police station, but it didn’t mention about the incident and was written on plain A4 paper without letterheads. We were unsure if the notice is genuine or a prank. The staffs at Mitsui Garden Hotel were very helpful to contact the police to obtain more information for us. The room is clean and comfortable.

Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring is centrally located in Kumamoto, in front of the Kumamoto Bus Terminal and 1.6 km from the JR Kumamoto Station. Good location. Just opposite to the bus terminal. Great breakfast & springs. The outdoor spring is wonderful. Next to shopping mall with information centre for bus tickets & SUNQpass reservation inside. Many good restaurants nearby. Almost all scenic sites are within walking distance.
