Located just a 1-minute walk from popular Miyagawa Morning Market in the heart of Takayama, Sumiyoshi Ryokan offers homely Japanese-style accommodation in the historic townhouse building. An incredible location, nearby all the most important attractions, with a great view to Miyagawa river. Although it is shared bathroom, it feels very private and calm. The family that owns the ryokan is friendly, thoughtful and welcoming.

Located in the centre of Takayama Historic District, Ryokan Tanabe 旅館田邊 is one of the most historical ryokans in the city. It features Japanese-style rooms and free WiFi in all areas. This was a true authentic ryokan experience. Lovely staff, perfect location and delicious dinner two nights. We slept well on double futons and enjoyed the Onsen ( sitting outside in a warm tub while it was raining was so relaxing!) We will come again if we return to Takayama!

Situated at the heart of historic Takayama Old Town and just steps away from Takayama Jinya Morning Market, the traditional Honjin Hiranoya Kachoan offers personalised hospitality, hot spring baths... Breakfast was an amazing experience, beautifully presented. The girl who went through all the things in the room with us was amazing, friendly and polite. great location, walking distance to everything. Next time we would have our evening meal there because there wasn't much open in the evening for dinner.

Stylový hotel AKARI et KAORI dříve Taizanso navrhl Shinji Kagawa a nachází se 10 minut jízdy od vlakového nádraží Shuzenji. The hotel's location was quite convenient. A short bus or cab ride from Shuzenji station. From the hotel, it was a lovely stroll to Shuzenji Temple nearby. What stood out to me most was the staff's genuine hospitality. They didn't speak much English but were very accommodating at all times. Neither my mom nor I eat beef, so with advance notice, they replaced beef with lobster. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Although the public bath was small, it was cozy and well-equipped. It was a shame we only stayed one night.

The Meitetsu Grand Hotel offers bright rooms with free WiFi, 3 restaurants and a sky lounge café with panoramic city views. The hotel was very convenient. It has a lot of malls/stores at the basement. It is very close to the train station. If you need to go to the airport this is the perfect hotel. Not that expensive also. Good value for the money and the location.

This was a last minute booking due to extraordinary situation, but the hotel delivered a great experience. The location was very short walk away from the central station, however it was still very quiet. The room and the facilities in general were far better than I expected for the money I paid. And the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Hida Takayama Hodakaso Yamano Iori is just a 3-minute walk from JR Takayama Train Station and a 10-minute walk from Old Town and Takayama Jinya and Miyagawa Morning Market. Skvělá lokalita, dobré připojení WiFi. Krásný zážitek z tradičního typu ubytování.
