Housed in an 18th-century palace, this hotel blends a historical setting with picturesque views of the Lousã Mountains. Set in beautiful gardens, Octant Lousa features an outdoor pool. The stuff was very nice and very helpful and friendly , they gave us a nice gift with bottle of wine. They have very good restaurant and the breakfast was varied and delicious. I recommend bike rental at the hotel , there have good bikes.

Hotel Meliá Castelo Branco is located on a hilltop, offering panoramic views of Castelo Branco. It features a health club with an indoor pool, sauna and Turkish bath. After a long day of traveling, it was really nice to enjoy a swim in the oversized pool. The dinner at the restaurant was very good. We enjoyed the buffet… good variety. The room was comfortable with a view of the city. The place was clean and well maintained. The staff very friendly and helpful. It was good value.
