First of all - the amazing view from the balcony. Simply breathtaking. We didn't even switch on the tv while staying there for 3 days, we just stared at the waves... The room was spacious and super clean, nicely decorated. The food!!!!! We got halfboard option and it was the best decision. Both restaurants were amazing, the dinner for me was a day ending adventure of itself every day.

Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Breakfasts were great also the view and the peaceful area. The staff were very friendly and Teresa (the owner) is a very professional and kind person. Totally recommended!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant surprised us with its excellent quality.

The hotel offers great views of the surrounding area, and I enjoyed relaxing by the small but cozy pool. Overall, the facilities and services were good, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in Madeira.
