First of all - the amazing view from the balcony. Simply breathtaking. We didn't even switch on the tv while staying there for 3 days, we just stared at the waves... The room was spacious and super clean, nicely decorated. The food!!!!! We got halfboard option and it was the best decision. Both restaurants were amazing, the dinner for me was a day ending adventure of itself every day.

The staff were very friendly and Teresa (the owner) is a very professional and kind person. Totally recommended!

Offering an outdoor pool and spa centre, Castanheiro Boutique Hotel is set in Funchal, 500 metres from Marina do Funchal. Excellent service from the moment you enter the hotel. All staff extremely friendly. Nice rooftop pool and bar/lounge. Rooms have everything you need. Left before breakfast but got a breakfast box that had more food than I could eat. Free spa admission with a steam room and Turkish bath complimentary. Nice restaurant and ambiance throughout the hotel. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel is very quiet, there are no breakfast queues or big crowds at the pools like in big hotels. It's the perfect place for relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant surprised us with its excellent quality.

Overall, the facilities and services were good, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay in Madeira.

Central location, overall vibe and beds were very comfy. We had a courtyard/shopping mall interior room which was very quiet. Pool was cool.
