From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the charm and warmth of this beautiful building right in the heart of the town. The location couldn’t be better, just a 2 min walk to the historic centre, the river, and plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful decorated with a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional touches. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, we slept so well each night.

Situated between the city of Braga and the Gerês Mountain Range, this luxurious hotel is a former Cistercian Monastery of the XII century. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a tennis court. The property is a hidden gem, tucked away in what can only be described as a piece of history. Absolutely stunning interiors-unique but tasteful. The staff were fabulous and welcoming in all areas of the hotel and you can tell they are very passionate about the property. I would note that this is not the place to go for nightlife, it’s for those wishing to relax and unwind and appreciate nature and the beautiful surroundings. Get out in the car and explore the wonderful scenery on offer and you will not be disappointed. Well done to all.
