The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. The location was perfect, close enough to be part of the action and far enough to get a quiet sleep. The food was excellent and original. Finally the staff was impeccable.

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.

Amazing large apartment with all you need. A balcony, a seperate living room with a kitchen and a sleeping room with a huge shower. You have a private washing machine inside the apartment. The apartment is right in the center of town, very easy to get anywhere and 10 minutes walk to the central bus station. Very nice staff that met me at the entrance at check in. Cost effective compared to other properties in the same area.

Das Gästehaus liegt im historischen Zentrum von Ponte de Lima und bietet individuell eingerichtete Zimmer mit einem modernen Bad. Super Lage direkt im Zentrum. Sehr schöne Räume. Freundliches Personal. Das Frühstück war auch sehr reichhaltig. Da ein Volksfest stattfand war es ziemlich laut nachts, aber dafür wurden wir mit dem Erlebnis der lokalen Festivitäten belohnt.

Wir können das wunderschön umgebaute und gut restaurierte Kloster sehr empfehlen. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und das Essen herausragend gut.

Trovador Guest House is located in the historic center of Guimarães and offers comfortable suites just 1 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. We only had time to stay in Guimaraes for two nights but we packed a lot of walking and sight seeing into the time we had. The Trovador Guest house operates from a small group of houses in the older part of town near what was the leather tanning area of the city. There are lots of interesting buildings around the area bars, cafes and eateries within easy walking distance. Our room was spotlessly clean and it was evident that the building had recently been restored - very tastefully decorated and furnished. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and they went out of their way to help us find things that we were looking for. A great breakfast was also provided with lots of pasteries, and fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices etc.
