We went to a local store by our apartment where we were greeted and taken to the apartment and shown all the facilities right down to the TV. The apartment was very comfortable well set up. We were about 40min walk to tourist attractions but the Metro is being updated which is a couple of mins walk. The shop owners were wonderful. They called a taxi for the airport and even waved us goodbye. So welcoming and friendly.

Hotel was in a residential area, we were glad we stayed here rather than in central Madrid because the traffic was intense in the centre. The bus stop to go to Plaza Major is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel, very easy to find. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful (we arrived at 10pm). Car parking was on the street, or we noticed a few pay parking buildings in the local area. Lots of restaurants in the local area. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functionable.

Everything with a highlight being the extremely friendly and professional reception staff. We were able to leave our bags in the storage which was greatly appreciated. The location was excellent in terms of access from airport, only 19 mins, and access to metro and a range of buses.
