This historic building is absolutely beautiful, with an incredible attention to detail that genuinely made us feel like royalty. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed and clean.
The staff were absolutely outstanding, elevating the entire stay, especially our attendant, Yuma, who was professional, excellent, and truly made the experience memorable. The onsen was super relaxing, and the food was absolutely incredible—we highly recommend having dinner here. A perfect stay!

Such a nice stay here. The lobby had attractive lighting and was full of plantlife. We would have walked in and checked the place out even if we were just passing by. The restaurant downstairs was delicious and their drinks were well made and very cheap for our standards in the US. The room was big and the shower felt luxurious.

Everything was perfect! Staff were amazing, the room and facilities not to mention a free breakfast !
They have just about everything you may need as a traveller and more aswell which is super handy and amazing! They hold an intercultural party in the hotel twice a week where everyone from the guesthouse is invited aswell as a few Kyoto locals, sitting around with sake and snacks and chatting to people from all over the world and learning from locals was the highlight of my trip!
The Lady who runs the house is also incredibly kind and speaks English very well so I had no trouble with communication.
The location is also fantastic, a little ways away from Kyoto station but easy enough to get to with a taxi or bus! There is a convenience store in a 5 minute range, plenty of cafes and restaurants, Kiyomizu Dera is only a 10 minute walk away with much of the more famous areas of Kyoto within a 20 minute radius!

Great location; easy access to the subway and walkable to many places as well. Well appointed rooms, spacious and comfortable beds. Loved the night pyjamas and the crockery available for use when we brought back food to eat in. Large bathroom and loved the distinction of the shower area from the tub!

I’ve been travelling solo for 9 years visited over 40+ hostel around the world. Let me just put it this way, Tsukimi ranks the Top 3 for me. Cleanliness is top notch and the vibes there is just unbelievably nice. They hosted workshops and I would recommend everyone to try! Especially the Shodo(calligraphy) workshop. Will definitely be back again!

Firstly, the staff were incredible and really easy to deal with. The room was lovely and had more than enough space for the two of us.
Location was great, a 5min walk to the busy shopping streets one way and 5min to the subway the other. All while feeling unique and isolated from the crowds. Loved our stay here.

Beautiful property right next to the main attractions but in a quiet neighborhood. I woke up and was able to go on a beautiful nature walk in the park and got a bonus view over Kyoto. Loved the private onsen tub.
