The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of the old town. The building looks amazing, especially with the lights on at night, and the rooftop with its bar is perfect. I didn't get the chance to try the restaurant, but there was some live music on the terrasse on Saturday night. We had an ice cream listening to it, it was great ! The breakfast is really good and the room as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again !

Hotel Catedral offers elegantly decorated rooms in Funchal’s city centre. It features panoramic views of the area. It also offers free WiFi, as well as free parking. Christina at the reception desk was fantastic. She went above and beyond to get me into my room early. It was like a miracle for me after a very early morning flight. Each staff member I encountered was courteous and welcoming. The location is superb! I had no idea I'd be in the middle of such a posh section of town and just steps from the waterfront. Couldn't have planned it better! And the breakfast options are substantial. For the price it was so much more than I expected.
