El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. Our stay was perfect! The location and views were gorgeous and our place was perfectly placed overlooking the views. It was super cute, clean and comfortable!!

Amazing atmosphere with a huge private area right in front of the beach. Staff are very polite and greeting. We weren’t charged extra fees for leaving our baggage while doing a night in Tayrona Park.

The huge yard has hammocks, work area, picnic tables and restrooms. It is two blocks from a hiking trail to another beach. You do not need a car. We had a great vacation!

Really beautiful cabin room overlooking the Sierra Nevada, the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff gave us complimentary expresso and were always there when we needed something. The food was also great! Would definitely recommend:)
