The location is beautiful, with idyllic scenery, a stunning river right next to the camp, and a lovely Spring Garden you can visit next door. The camp was set up based on our preferences, ensuring that our needs were met even before we checked in. While it is still camping, the camp is both comfortable and clean, and the wonderful stargazing at night adds to the experience. I highly recommend Mountain Camp at Mesilau to anyone seeking a unique, and for me, nostalgic experience. Whether you're a nature lover or just looking to take a break from the fast-paced city life, the Mountain Camp ticks all the boxes.

2 Separate Rooms (1 Queen size bed, 1 Twin bed), Air-conditioned & fan, Separate indoor bathroom (hot shower) & toilet, Forest swing, Private infinity pool, Outdoor shower, Outdoor kitchen. Wow, this was just the best place to stay. The resort was comfortable and the food was very good. We walked to see the orangutans and the Discovery center. The front desk was excellent to arrange our tour to the proboscis monkeys and to the airport. You ask and they deliver. As birders, the grounds are exceptional for birding. We saw so many just off of our balcony. We had hot water and the secret is to just turn on the water until you hear the water heater engage. Worked perfect for us.

The staff was amazing, I lost my phone but got it back! Couldn't thank enough to the lady who found and kept my phone! The road going inside to the homestay is quite narrow and rocky. But you can park inside close to the homestay. The location of the homestay is quite close to the town (around 15-20mins), easy to commute in and out. The toilet is outside your room, not a sharing toilet. However, quite scary to go out in the middle of the night 😅
