Ég fór í tveggja tíma útsýnisferð um eyðimörkina og naut þess að sjá stórbrotna rauða kletta, gullna sandöldur og víðáttumikið landslag sem virtist endalaust. Eftir það tók ég þátt í útreið á úlföldum, róleg og heillandi upplifun sem gaf mér tækifæri til að finna takt eyðimerkurinnar og dást að fegurð hennar úr öðru sjónarhorni. Kyrrðin, fegurðin og gestrisni bedúínanna, með hlýlegri móttöku og hefðbundnum réttum, gerðu upplifunina enn einstæðari. Ég mæli eindregið með Wadi Rum fyrir alla sem leita að náttúrufegurð, menningu og ævintýrum í senn.

I recently visited Wadi Rum with my friend from Egypt, and it was an amazing experience! We loved everything, but what truly stood out was the hospitality of Atef and Odeh. The camp was very clean and welcoming. Even though we arrived very late and had a flat tire on the way, they kept checking on us to make sure we were okay and even offered to send a car to help. They also kindly delayed dinner for us so we could settle in. After dinner, they prepared a lovely fire and tea for us to relax and unwind — such a thoughtful gesture. Odeh, who was our driver, also took us for the dawn trip to watch the sunrise, which was unforgettable. Atef and Odeh were incredibly friendly, and their care truly made the experience special. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The fireplace is a top feature of this tent. The well-equipped kitchen has a stovetop, a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker. Really clean and beautiful location! Great staff and amenities! The food was amazing! The dinner was so good full of flavor and lots of options! Breakfast was light and fresh! We booked a jeep tour which was beautiful and scenic the driver Eyad was amazing explaining what things were and the lunch my husband and I were blown away! We thought we were going to get some finger foods/ sandwiches but nope we got a full blown home cooked meal which was amazing! I truly recommend this place everyone goes above and beyond for you!

I really loved the genuity of the place, truly local food and clean though simple lodgings. Compared to the other camps, the location of the camp in the desert is further from the village, so if you want to get the feeling of remoteness, go for it. I had never experienced such piece and quiet in my life as I did there. Mahmoud - the guide - is an experienced nice guy with plenty of knowledge of the local customs and is sensitive to visitors´ needs. While touring through the desert, he made us a delicious lunch and answered anything we asked about the Jordan culture or family traditions.

Not only our experience was incredible, but the day we were leaving Jordan we had an issue with our rental car and Raad helped us get a taxi to airport which made the overall feel exceptional. Special thanks to Mohamed that took us to beautiful places in the desert. Special thanks to Tahal that cooked amazing dinners. We enjoyed very much each night next to fireplace, shisha, good company and stars. We loved the dune next to camp.

The location is exceptional and far from all the noise and other big camps. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay this is your destination. Very helpful and clear communication from the staff, they were very welcoming and flexible.

Booking this accommodation was probably one of the best decisions during our visit to Jordan. You may find several very similar accommodations in the area: the tents and the camps are going to be very similar with very similar services, but none of them has Eid, who is the person who makes a real difference. We booked this accommodation looking for possibilities to book a tour in the desert too. We didn’t know how lucky we were when Eid wrote that he also offers day tours. We booked it and spent a fantastic day with him in his beloved desert. He took us to the must-see places, and some more; left us for small hikes, prepared a fantastic lunch, and cracked a few jokes which really turned the tour from a standard guided tour into a funny hike around the desert with our friend. He showed us his little game at the “chicken” stone which made this experience even more personal. The camp is about 10km in the desert in the right direction from the village, so, likely, you will not drive there with an average rented streetcar. Eid will pick you up from the Visitor Center. The tents are spacious with decent bathrooms and running water, shower, etc. You can surely charge your phone, but there is no signal, so prepare for an e-detox night in the camp - they are happy to drive you to a place with reception if it is important, but I suggest you rather stay and talk to the locals next to the campfire they make. :) Both the dinner and the breakfast were ample and tasty.

The night sky view and the sunrise view from our tent were amazing. As for the activities, we took a 2-hour safari for the sunset, and it was beautiful. Additionally, the stargazing activity at night was also a very impressive experience for us. We would like to thank our guides and the hotel owners — everything was wonderful.
