Camping along the river was very appealing. The very strong rains made using the river impossible and it was quite damp for tenting, but that was not the fault of the proprietors. They arranged safari vehicles and guides and gave us very good advice about the length of the safari that would be best for our group.

The surroundings of the camp are just stunning. The gardeners Indika, Upalai and Kumara do a very good job. The area is very quiet and full of birdlife an other animals. Our bushwalks with Nuwan and Dimuth were great, although we could‘nt find any elephants. Kumara led us to a beautiful waterfall where we had e refreshing bath. The service and food cooked by Upalai and Rajitha was excellent. Thanks a lot to all staff - we will come back one day 👋🏼🙏🏻

Ubicato a Udawalawe, a 17 km da Parco Nazionale di Udawalawe, Kottawatta River Bank Resort propone una piscina all'aperto, un parcheggio privato gratuito, un giardino e una sala comune. Ci è piaciuta molto la piscina Il ristorante è davvero bello e si possono vedere le scimmie e gli scoiattoli!!! Abbiamo fatto un safari con Tharanga e lo raccomandiamo come guida, molto bravo a spottare gli animali e spiega tantissime cose interessanti Per pranzo ha apparecchiato vicino ad un ruscello :))

Ottimo ristorante, piscina che dopo una giornata di safari ha il suo perché e safari di mezza giornata organizzato da loro con guida competente e mezzi adeguato.

Dotata di una vista sul fiume Rakwana, questa struttura dista appena 3 km dall'Elephant Transit Home e offre sistemazioni rustiche in stile capanna circondate dal verde e provviste di una veranda... The property is gorgeous and very natural. There are no eye-sores, everything is very blended with nature. The two swimming pools were really lovely and the restaurant buffet dinners were delicious. The best part was the general manager who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. He engaged with our kids and made sure they stayed busy with basketball, volleyball, arranged a village walk across the river, and made special arrangements on our safari to celebrate my son's birthday. He was like a traditional hotel general manager who treats everybody like his personal guest. It's a really special place and definitely a great base for visiting both Udawalawe and Yala parks.

Everything is rteally nice, the rock pools are amazing and the junglke is all around you. The cabins are very new and comfortable. I thought the loud music was a bit irritating, but maybe that was just an exeption!
