The fridge was packed with bead, jam, yoghurt, cereal, milk and fruit. The room was warm and comfortable. Our hosts Paul and Katalina are super friendly and happy to advise and inform you of what the North of the North Island has to offer.

We arrived late due to a problem we had and they waited for us to check in, the location was wonderful. We rested and had a wonderful time staying there. The staff was always very concerned about making us feel comfortable.

Some campers had come from the city for a rest, and said they got it. You are close to all shopping and many possible day trips. The best part was sleeping. The bed was comfortable, cozy, and warm. I slept better than at home! The kitchen was very well set up, with all the amenities of home. Showers were hot and strong. This is comfortable camping in a romantically rustic setting.

Perfect location for a quiet, calm getaway in close proximity to activities/landmarks that will cater to most families. Facilities were excellent, exceeded our expectations.

We had such an incredible stay at Waipu Thunder Domes! The space was cozy, clean, and super comfortable – it had everything we needed and more. I loved the thoughtful touches like the gowns for walking from the shower to the dome, electric blankets, and the heat pump that kept us warm and toasty. The views were stunning, the kitchen was well equipped, and we enjoyed the games too. The hosts were friendly and attentive without ever being in your space. Highly recommend for a peaceful and unique getaway!

Very peaceful, spacious, and comfortable. Would recommend. The only slight downside was the hum of traffic from highway 1, which could be heard throughout our stay.

This spacious, insulated tent offers views over Orongo Bay. It has outdoor seating and access to shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. All bedding is included. We’ve stayed at quite a few of the Holiday Parks and this one was by far the best from the cabin to the staff! All excellent

Boasting a private entrance, this air-conditioned mobile home features 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a hairdryer. The view over the valley was lovely, the tiny away is tiny, but it is your own space and it has a lovely little outdoor area. The host was lovely, he greeted us at arrival and suggested AH Reid walk which I highly support the recommendation. If you like being out of town a little and not in your standard accommodation this place is perfect. Also the place was spotlessly clean and quiet, we slept so well.
