This tent's special feature is the fireplace. The tent provides a private entrance, a minibar, a terrace with garden views as well as a private bathroom featuring a shower. The photos and descriptions don’t do this place justice. Located in a quiet valley half an hour’s walk (or a short drive) from Ollantaytambo the Las Qolqas Eco Resort by far exceeded our expectations. The friendly and helpful staff helped us with all our questions and requests, alongside the manager and the owner of the hotel. They also recommended a Machu Picchu guide for us (Porfirio - charming and very knowledgeable) and helped us with transportation to and from the train station to get to Machu Picchu (included in our room rate). The food on site is excellent, as are the drinks. There are fireplaces in each cabin which they’ll light for you at your request. You can admire hummingbirds from the comfy chairs on your veranda while you can hear the birds chirp and the sounds of the nearby river. We also did a lovely 2hr hike (each way) on an Inka Trail to the nearby Pumamarca Ruins which was amazing and we didn’t see any other tourists the whole way - a great way you get away from the masses. Las Qolqas was easily our favourite place we stayed at in Peru.

The whole setup was perfect, the glamping tents were nicer than most hotels we’ve stayed in, the grounds were super relaxing and you were surrounded by nature (alpacas, hummingbirds). Also the staff were really friendly and helpful! Would recommend!
