Wild animals roaming around and even through the camp, loving and helpful staff, amazing food.. Our guide Mark was so knowledgeable and interesting, loveable and funny. The owners made us feel at home, and went out of their way to help as get absolutely perfect experience! 10 stars is not enough for this place! Can't wait to come back

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at; not only in Franschhoek, but of all the places I have ever stayed at before. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The farm and surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful, and the location to the town center is perfect. One could stay here in the winter or the summer, due to the indoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor braai area. I love that it is also very private. Our host was extremely attentive; responding immediately whenever we asked her something. She was very friendly, helpful, and it was clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will now be staying here every time that we are in Franschhoek!

Hartenbos Private Game Lodge is a privately-owned escape set in the malaria-free region of Hartenbos, Mossel Bay situated on the Garden Route. The tents are great, they had everything we needed, very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The game tour was lovely and very interesting. The owners were lovely and helped us when we our car slipped off the dirt road.
