We cannot offer enough praise for The Rebello. From the first moment, we received the warmest welcome and the utmost assistance at the front desk. We were helped to our room — an unexpected upgrade to a commanding river view — and introduced to all amenities which encompassed an all-inclusive mini-bar. We paid a visit to the restaurant/bar and were assisted by the most extraordinary Claudia for whom nothing was too much trouble. Our meals were prepared exactly to our liking due to Claudia’s willingness to communicate with the kitchen and the kitchen’s willingness to accommodate us. The next day, breakfast was similarly pleasing. We stayed only one night but that was enough to make us wish we had arrived much earlier. The hotel is a short walk to the dock for Uniworld and other river boats. Staff even offered to take our bags there for us! We love you guys at the Rebello!

Impeccably presented and clean. Quiet and we felt as if we were the only guests! And the views from our room (R) we're beyond compare. I could barely believe my eyes as I swept back the curtains and stepped out onto the little balcony, a view of Porto must be unmatched. Beautiful linens on a perfectly comfortable, quality bed. Everything was great quality, down to the coffee in the coffee machine and the nicely scented hotel toiletries. I wish we could have stayed longer and I'm dying to go back a soon as possible!

The location is simply unbeatable; stepping directly from the front door onto the boardwalk and having the sound of the waves lull me to sleep was a dream come true. My room was exactly as in the photo's advertised, immaculately clean, thoughtfully decorated and very modern, and offered a breathtaking ocean view. What sets this guesthouse apart is the personal touch: the owner's attentiveness, the local recommendations tailored to my interests, and the sheer dedication to ensuring every guest has a perfect stay. It’s a peaceful, welcoming retreat that perfectly captures the magic of a beachfront getaway. I highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.
