The location is beautiful, right on the shore of the lake with a lovely view. There's an on-site cafe that serves good breakfasts, and the coffee is great too. Our room was clean and comfortable. They also offer scooter rentals and a laundry service, which is very convenient. The staff was excellent, and I want to give a special mention to Mr. Rahman, who was incredibly kind. Highly recommended!

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Brian and Sarah were so lovely. They also went above and beyond with the service. They helped me arrange transport to Bukit Lawang and to Lake Toba. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. There is also an express laundry service too which is brilliant for after the trek if you need to leave the next day. The guides were also super friendly and everyone was very genuine and had a good sense of humour. Absolutely rate this place.

A bicycle rental service is available at the guest house. As the name suggest, there is an amazing view. The family is very hospitable, thank you guys for all the help. The breakfast or any other other food from menu is really amazimg.

This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Alek and Nabil are really great hosts who are Bukit Lawang's second best feature after the orangutans! The balcony has a lovely view out over the river and the location is perfect in amongst the locals.

Located in Bukit Lawang, Gino's Place - Guest House & Jungle Trekking features a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. There is free private parking and the property provides paid airport shuttle service. We had a great two night stay! The room was spacious and the AC worked great. The staff were so kind and helpful. The food was delicious (we liked the curry best) and very reasonably priced. We also signed up for a one day tour with them and we had a great day with 5 orangutan sightings led by our guides Jojo and Aldi. One evening some local guys came by to hang out and play some music. It was great singing along and getting to know the people of Bukit Lawang! It was also great that this didn’t go on late into the night and we still went to bed at a very reasonable time.

At the hotel, every room is fitted with a balcony. At Sahnan Guest House the rooms come with a private bathroom. Beautiful bungalow sat in a lovely garden. They also have a restaurant on site. Staff was very nice, they arranged car to Berastagi. Room spacious and very clean.

Sarah, Ade and the team were fantastic and helped me out when I needed a last minute trek into the jungle. My guide Rial was fantastic too. A really peaceful escape.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Bukit Lawang, Kupu Kupu Garden Guest House & Cafe features a garden. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the outdoor fireplace, or enjoy views of the mountain and river. We had the most amazing time at Kupu Kupu. The guesthouse is so beautiful, the rooms are very clean and well-designed and the food is incredible. With the jungle at the doorstep, we really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watch the monkeys play in the trees - it felt like we were in paradise! After two nights at the guesthouse, we did a 3 day / 2 night jungle trek our guides Wanda and Juli, which was an incredible experience. Wanda has so much knowledge about the jungle and all the living beings in it - he had a story to tell about any animal or plant we found, we enjoyed our talks with him so much! Both guides took very good care of us and always made us feel safe and well! After rafting (fun!!!) back to Kupu Kupu on the last day of our trek, we stayed at the guesthouse for one more night to relax and process our experience 🌿 Special thanks to Arif for organising everything for us (helping us with the itinerary from the airport and onwards to our next destination, picking us up from the town and organising the jungle trek) and to Risky for making us feel right at home 🙏
