Offering mountain views, Hars Garden Sumba in Waingapu provides accommodation and a garden. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. Everything! It was clean, and the bathroom was spacious! So cool how Hars is building everything himself on his property. The view of the mountains is just… wow! I stayed for two nights, but I easily could’ve stayed longer. Breakfast was also delicious, with fresh fruit from the garden! The fact that there’s no air conditioning might take some getting used to, but I slept really well — the breeze flows nicely through the room thanks to the way it’s built. I’m very curious to see how things will look in a few years with all the plans Hars still has. It’s hard to imagine this place becoming anything but a hidden gem!

Located in Waingapu, Casa Kandara features a garden and bar. This guest house provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. I spent 3 nights at Casa Kandara and would like to have stayed more. It's a really nice peaceful place with friendly and helpful staff, the rooms are cleaned each day and the bed comfortable. The breakfast overlooking rice paddies is excellent and the pool area is nice to read a book or cool down during a hot day. The airport transfer is a bonus too. Thanks Casa Kandara.
