The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and really personalised our experience from pouring us tea during our check in process and being really thorough about the facilities in their guest house. If you want recommendations they are also happy to try their best even with the english language barrier to help out and make recommendations. Overall the guesthouse is extremely clean and good value for money. The location is great with a bus stop put the front to the aquarium and the station and main strip within Otaru within walking distance. I would 100% stay here again coming back to Otaru just to see Kimi and Kuna they are wonderful people

We came to Hokkaido to snowboard at Niseko/Rusutsu in February, and this place was a wonderful cozy home stay for our trip! You definitely need a car to get here, and it's about an 1hr drive to either ski resort. However, despite the distance, the place was really warm and clean, and the hosts made us feel at home. Every day they provided a variety of breakfast and coffee, cleared snow off our car, checked in on us to see if we made it to the nearby onsen for our evening baths, and even had laundry. There are mini heaters in the room that are powerful enough to keep the room warm, and the blankets provided are so comfy! The hosts themselves are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay here!!

Takashi-san was the consummate host, personable and very accommodating and full of spot on suggestions and background information. The suite was ingeniously compact, but included everything we might need for a week's stay and was spotlessly clean. The location was convenient to public transport and within walking distance of many attractions. And the neighborhood was a quiet, comfortable pedestrian precinct, quite interesting in its own right.

The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The house is beautifully designed, our room was very comfortable and VERY clean, and we enjoyed the heated toilet seat :) The bed was so comfortable, we had the best sleep since arriving in Hokkaido. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are on the first floor and there is no elevator, but this no problem at all. The owner helps to carry the luggage up and down. The location is amazing, beautifully view out of the windows, with no buildings in front. It is a bit out of town, and to have a car is helpful. But they also offer a pick up service. If we will come back to this region we will definitely book again. Thanks for a great stay.

The host is very nice and friendly and made us a different delicious breakfast every day. The house is located in a really quiet location, with a view to the lake. Super comfortable stay, highly recomended.

But it exceeded my expectations. Nearest subway line took me straight to Sapporo and to a new restaurant area. It was a bit hard lugging my suitcase through the snow for less than 10 minutes and climbing the entry stairs, but the location was really good. The facilities and common room were AMAZING and was a pleasant surprise! The staff were attentive and very accommodating. Would recommend.
