Located in Kikuchi and only 18 km from Hirayama Hot Spring, 民泊サライ七城 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.

The breakfast for just Y1000 and coffee for Y500 was the best part of our stay! And that's saying a lot because we loved it all. She is such a good cook and he roasts the coffee on premises! So good.

A recently renovated guest house situated in Minami Aso, お宿でん吉 features a garden. Japnese style house, clean, and spaciud, bueatiful view. Polite staff and owner. Professional kitechen.

Set just 32 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 阿蘇び心 Asobi Gokoro offers accommodation in Aso with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Enjoyed staying here. The host was very friendly and nice. Will visit again.
