One of the highlights of my trip, it feels like having a home. The beds are comfy, the decoration of the living room is very tasteful, and the location is superb.

I loved everything, but especially the experience I had there, mostly thanks to the kindness that Yama-san and Yuka-san showed me. They were so welcoming, as were the other people who stayed at the hostel. The location is beautiful with wide open windows that show the view of the strait. People are lovely and kind. There is a space to cook your own food, which was very convenient! The bus runs through town, so you can easily catch it to go to Izuhara if you want. There are beautiful areas all around Yamaboushi that are great to check out!

During me and my family’s one-night stay we were well taken care of from the moment we arrived in Sasebo until the moment we left. The hospitality was an 11/10 and I can’t say enough good things about Yuzu-san and her beautiful home. It was so well-designed and peaceful, and we wished that we could have stayed longer! The breakfast was delicious as well.

Huis Ten Bosch je 20 km daleko. knowing the way of a traditional country house the experience was better than I thought. The location is great and the close towns around are just a walk away. If you like walking, its your place. The serenity , quietness and peace all around are stunning. We could feel the love put into the house during its remodeling. Admiring the way to stay as close as possible to original materials and way of building it. The living room is great and wants you to stay overlooking the rice patties all day long.

It is a self-contained unit adjacent to a small temple. It included a nice tatami mat room with a very small kitchen. The shower and washing machine were excellent. The host was fantastic; she spoke good English and we had a couple of fun conversations and she helped us to book a future accommodation. The unit is on the edge of the city, about 2km from the ferry and an hour excellent supermarket. We had a wonderful stay.

I didn’t expect a house this big and equipped. I was welcomed so caring and friendly and got help with everything I needed plus many more opportunities and offers for day trips and food options. I could even use the sounds system with their vinyls and the piano they have (really good sound!). Also, I cooked for myself in the evening with food I got in a supermarket of the next city. For a daytrip I rented an e-bike and went to the local waterfall (i was alone there!!) and to the sound shower museum, which I can highly recommend. Owner and staff are incredibly friendly and warm hearted.

The owner was very nice, took the time to show me what there was to do in the area. Also provided me with free cold snacks when I arrived because I was overheated. His breakfast in the morning was delicious! If you stay in Hitakatsu, you should stay here! Room had a view of the port, and place was a close walk/cycle to beautiful beaches.

Shimayado Goen se nachází v destinaci Ojika a poskytuje ubytování s koly zdarma, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a terasou. Pláž Funase Beach je 1,5 km daleko. A quiet, peaceful island getaway. Fluent English is spoken by the hotel owner and some workers. We were given excellent guidance and maps of the island on arrival, which was VERY useful as the roads are quite narrow at times. We drove, but you can walk to many places. Bicycle (rental available) is also good. Excellent coffee shops can be found with guidance. Breakfast and dinner in the hotel dining room were superb. Japanese style. Coffee also great, and available free all day. Of course, the hospitality is top notch . . . it's Japan. We'll be back.
