Set in Colombo on a private peninsula by the banks of the historic Diyawanna Lake, Aathma Colombo House provides accommodation with a garden. Everything was beautiful, our room was stunning it was massive room and very clean. Food and cocktails were also delicious! staff were so lovely and very accommodating wish we stayed longer.

I have traveled many times and stayed in numerous hotels, but none have matched the comfort and care I found here. A heartfelt thanks to the owner, Mr. Shane, the manager, Sisira, and the entire staff, who went above and beyond to take care of me, especially when I was unwell. Their kindness and attentiveness made all the difference. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and prepared with so much attention to detail. The rooms are spotlessly clean, neat, and designed to provide maximum comfort. The environment is stunning, especially with the serene riverside view that adds so much charm and peace to the stay. What impressed me further was the reasonable pricing, which is more than justified for the exceptional service and experience they provide. For me, this place has become more than just a hotel—it’s my second home. Whenever I return to Sri Lanka, I won’t be looking for another place to stay, because I’ve already found the perfect one. 💖

At IGN Residence Colombo, my travelled needs were exceeded beyond expectation. It is a beautiful colonial-style building. Usually the most important quality for me as a single, woman traveler, is the safety of the accommodation and the immediate vicinity. Secondly I look for exceptional service. Relaxation means not having to do what is expected of me at home. Handcrafted furnishings and choice appointments complemented the discrete aura of these private lodgings. Seeing brand new furniture and towels was a pleasant surprise. In the kitchen, there was also fresh Italian coffee. Located on the central avenue of the city, the house is close to a shopping center, pharmacies, restaurants, and art galleries. It is possible to walk to all necessary places. I found walking along the avenue to be very convenient.

Very Clean, hardworking, know what they are doing, safe, quiet, very generous friendly , a bit strict ..new house and furnitures Just need to remind guests to not stay up late and know different time zones, walls quite thin, epecially room with no window have to rely on that window or also opening the door. It is like a home Christian family They wash clothes for everyone, using her washing machine and clean evey two days, change sheets every 4 days. Tap water in sri lanka can be boiled using water heater , drinkable. But taste a bit different , because i have been living amongst nature mountains less people strict country. Must wait around 10-30 minutes sometimes to book tuktuk which is safer and quite cheap.. Supermarkets, markets , restaurants walking about 20-40 minutes. 2 minutes from nearest self-owned minimart, everyday in morning and evening bread tuktuk cost around 100rupees each, vegetarian and non vegetarian. normally the minimart before the temple white wall, will be the final location of the uber, pickmeup. No wifi tissue paper for long term guests, they can be expensive in sri lanka. Most local restaurants eat by hands, there are sink tap water soap Quite safe, as a foreigner, there will be people looking, taking photos, smiling , teasing, getting close. I suggest wear mask at the city, buses are very polluted. Try to relax, prwy chant. not all drivers are bad drivers. Public toilets can be clean, not so clean and not clean. Nice lakes, parks, rice fields about 30-40 minutes of tuktuk. Colombo can be expensive so best know in advance how many days or weeks, i saw when i arrived 3000rupees, now 5000rupees. I have great time, happiness kindness supports encouragment positivity faith . Roads can be bumpy with up down small slopes to reduce speed, if you arent good with motorbike, i really dont really recommend. Sri lanka can be quite dark at night, with beautiful fireflies. Many small holes rocks. Roads up down hill, do not cycle in city.
