I had a great stay at Makai Surf House. The staff were kind and helpful, always around if you needed anything but never overbearing. The location is ideal — close to the beach but still quiet and peaceful. The house and garden are really well kept, with a calm, relaxed atmosphere. I also met some genuinely nice people while I was there, which made the experience even better. Would happily come back.

Rodolfo and Ana, affectionately called Papa and Mama by the locals, took the extra step in taking care of me and my friend, catering to different surf levels and spending time 1x1 with us out in the water. Excellent surf right outside the lodge, comfortable rooms with good AC (you will need it!) and fresh breakfasts. Definitely looking forward to my next visit

I had a beautiful room with an outdoor shower which I loved. The garden is a real oasis with interesting wildlife to spot and it was really relaxing to spend some time by the pool before walking down to the beach. The garden here is really special and the architecture of the building is beautiful. The staff were super attentive.

He was extremely caring and helpful. Everything was very clean. Great location, super close to the beach and many restaurants. I had a really great experience and will definitely be staying here again next time I come.
