First of all, I have to praise the manager of the hotel. He always helped us with anything we needed, from checking us in early to organizing breakfast, booking activities and arranging transport. He also gave us tips for great snorkeling spots and good restaurants and made it possible for us to have rice and curry for breakfast instead of the usual choices. The hotel itself was also great. Just a few minutes from the beach and close to a variety of good restaurants. It was very clean and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable the whole 9 days we were there! It happened more than once that we met other tourists in town who were unhappy with their accommodation, but as for my boyfriend and I, we can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!

Nongu Home er staðsett 500 metra frá Uppuveli-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með verönd. Beautiful room and amazing staff, very friendly and helpful (helped us organizing activities, exchanging money, arranging a taxi to Yala…). The location was extremely convenient, very close to the beach and to the delicious restaurants in the area. A 2 min walk to the main road to find a Tuk Tuk to anywhere. We had a great time, great value for money!

Set just 600 metres from Uppuveli beach, Breeze Guest House provides accommodation in Trincomalee with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. Amazing stay! Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Outside area was beautiful to relax in, location just a minute walk from the property. The real highlight was the use of the shared kitchen, which was well equipped, and there are several markets near by for fresh produce and eggs, which was a welcome change. Would definitely recommend staying at this property during your time in Trincomalee!

The owner Jey, chef Justin and Prasanth make sure you have a great stay. The apartments are clean and calm and the garden area really stands out in the street, it's really pretty. We stayed for 2 nights, but we would have loved to stay more. It's always fully booked, and rightfully so. If you are going to Nilaveli, this is the place to stay!

Staff was extremely friendly and flexible on arrival/departure, I really felt welcome when they organized a ceremony for new year. It was nice also to share with other guests. They can also arrange some activities for you, and you can do snorkeling starting from the beach 3 miin away if you have your equipment

Moon Isle Beach Bungalow er staðsett í Nilaveli, 1,3 km frá Nilaveli-ströndinni, og býður upp á gistingu með einkastrandsvæði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garð og verönd. I love the location! It's right on the beach! And during the time we were there, the beach to the left and to the right from the hotel was deserted. There are only a few rooms at the hotel and guests would leave somewhere and at times it felt like we had our own private beach just for two of us! Also having breakfast and dining there is so great, because again your doing it right on the beach, so the scenery and the sounds of waves are perfect. I live how they have us so many different traditional Sri-Lankan side dishes to our order. The bungalows are located far from the main road, so you only hear the sound of waves and nothing else. Very nice owners and staff - they helped us with luggage both during check-in and check-out and did it out of genuine hospitality, not like most places in the world where they help you with luggage and stay there wait for tips. Really great place, very romantic, I hope we'll be able to come back to Sri-Lanka again and stay at these Bungalows!
